Brief

The Verify and GaaP programmes were being jointly managed under one design lead. Both programmes had grown to over 100+ people responsible for multiple products and services. Design leadership was needed for each programme. The design of Verify's brand and identity was strong and the programme would benefit from a service-centric design approach.

Objectives
  1. Set the strategic direction of design on the GOV.UK Verify programme
  2. Understand Verify and identity standards
  3. Steer and promote user centred design across the Verify programme
  4. Ensure the programme is prioritising user-centric missions
  5. Ensure the right mission teams have the right designers
  6. Create an environment where all Verify designers can share, collaborate and crit ongoing design work
  7. Spot opportunities to join up and simplify user journeys across product teams
